We are holding a Music Bingo Fundraiser to raise funds for the Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb 2026 is raising funds for the 000 Foundation, Lifeline and Peter Mac Cancer Hospital. Help us raise funds for such an important cause while enjoying a fun night out!
On Saturday 12th of September 2026, Firefighters and Emergency services personnel from across Australia and the globe will descend upon Melbourne to ascend 28 Floors of the Crown Metropol raising vital funds for Cancer Research and Crisis Support!
Our climbers will battle 28 floors in up to 25kg of turnout gear and breathing apparatus, as a symbol of the burden of significant health and well-being issues faced by our first responders and their families on a daily basis. Some will also be breathing "on air" through a self contained breathing apparatus adding a extra level of difficulty to their climb.
Lifeline providing those experiencing a personal crisis with access to 24 hour crisis and suicide prevention support. Lifeline receives over one million contacts annually – almost two every minute – from people reaching out with thoughts of suicide, relationship challenges, mental health concerns, loneliness and isolation, loss and grief, abuse, trauma, and more. Your support in reaching this goal helps ensure that no call goes unanswered.
Peter Mac is Australia’s only public hospital that’s 100% dedicated to cancer care. It is also home to Australia’s largest cancer research group. Cancer is a leading cause of death in the community, and firefighters and other emergency service workers are overrepresented in the number of cancer cases globally.
The 000 Foundation (Triple Zero Foundation) is a charity dedicated to the welfare of our Emergency Service Personnel, with a particular focus on the issues of mental health experienced by the sector. It will assist in looking after the welfare of our members, particularly those adversely affected by their service.
