Carols by Candlelight is a free event for the community, with food and drinks available to purchase on the day.
Please remember to bring a rug, chair, pillow or blanket to make your evening comfortable in the Multi Purpose Pavilion.
And importantly, don’t forget that mosquitoes are out and about this time of year. Apply insect repellent and wear loose-fitting clothing to help prevent bites.
The event site at the Shepparton Showgrounds has sealed path access around the outside of the building and is concrete floor inside. The remainder of the surfaces are granitic and grass. Food vendors will be located on the granitic sand outside the Multi Purpose Pavilion. The food vendors will be accessible by sealed paths and granitic sand.
Due to the size of the space we are unable to set up the elevated, accessible viewing platform instead there will be an area reserved at the front for people who use wheelchairs/mobility aids and their families/friends/carers.
There will be lots of traffic around the showgrounds. There will be many people during the event, and live music and dance performances on the main stage. This is a popular event, and it is likely that the venue will be crowded.
On site there is one accessible and all gender bathroom in the toilet block at the south of the Multi Purpose Pavilion (High Street end). There will be portable toilets also located on site which are for all genders.
First aid will be available on site and is located on the granitic sand near the food vendors.
Service Animals Only are welcome at this event.
There is very limited seating available, so we recommend bringing a picnic rug and chairs to sit on to enjoy the evening.
Weather - this event will be held in all weather conditions. Due to the forecast, the event has been relocated to the Shepparton Showgrounds. We thank you for your understanding.
There will be Council event staff on site who will be wearing high-vis vests and long-sleeve black Council shirts. If you need any assistance during the event, please contact a Council staff member or a security guard and we will be happy to help.
